RFM Digital Community Guidelines
Rules for safe, respectful and Christ-centered participation in RFM's digital communities.
1. Respect
All members of RFM's digital communities shall treat one another with respect, kindness, and courtesy.
2. Christian Conduct
All digital participation should reflect Christian character — love, truth, purity, and edification.
3. No Harassment
Harassment of any kind — including bullying, intimidation, and persistent unwanted contact — is prohibited.
4. No Threats
Threats of violence or harm, whether serious or joking, are strictly prohibited.
5. No Hate or Abuse
Hate speech, abusive language, discrimination, and personal attacks are not tolerated.
6. No Scams
Scams, fraudulent appeals, and deceptive financial requests are prohibited.
7. No Fraud
Any form of fraud or dishonesty, including misrepresentation of identity or needs, is prohibited.
8. No Spam
Unsolicited messages, repeated posting, and spam are not permitted.
9. No Impersonation
Impersonating another person, including ministry leaders or members, is strictly prohibited.
10. Privacy
Members must respect the privacy of others. Personal information shared within the community must not be shared outside without permission.
11. Private Messages
A member must NEVER be able to access another member's private messages, private prayer requests, personal records, private rooms, or confidential information. These permissions are enforced on the backend/database, not merely by hiding buttons on the frontend.
12. Prayer Requests
Prayer requests shared in private must remain private. Prayer requests shared publicly may be prayed for by the community but must not be shared outside without permission.
13. Confidentiality
Confidential information — including pastoral matters, personal struggles, and ministry decisions — must be kept confidential.
14. Appropriate Content
All content shared must be appropriate, edifying, and consistent with Christian values. Inappropriate, explicit, or harmful content is prohibited.
15. Child Safety
The safety of children in all digital spaces is paramount. All Child Protection Policy standards apply online.
16. Advertising
Unsolicited advertising and commercial promotion are not permitted without authorization from ministry leadership.
17. Fundraising
Unauthorized fundraising or solicitation of funds is prohibited. All fundraising must be approved by ministry leadership.
18. Disagreements
Disagreements should be handled with grace, humility, and respect. Do not attack or belittle others.
19. Reporting Problems
Members should report violations of these guidelines to ministry leadership or moderators promptly.
20. Moderator Authority
Moderators and leaders have authority to remove content, warn members, and take corrective action to maintain a safe and healthy community.
21. Suspension and Removal
Members who violate these guidelines may be suspended or removed from digital communities.
22. Appeals
Members who believe they have been unfairly removed may appeal to ministry leadership.
23. Digital Safety
Members should practice good digital safety — protecting their passwords, being cautious with personal information, and reporting suspicious activity.
