1. Purpose of Prayer Ministry

The prayer ministry exists to help believers grow in prayer, stand with those in need, and seek God's will for the ministry, the Church, and the world.

2. Biblical Foundation

Prayer is foundational to the Christian life and ministry. Jesus taught His disciples to pray, and the early Church devoted themselves to prayer.

3. Personal Prayer

Every believer is encouraged to develop a consistent personal prayer life, spending time with God daily in worship, confession, thanksgiving, and petition.

4. Corporate Prayer

Corporate prayer — praying together as a community — is powerful and essential. RFM gathers regularly for corporate prayer.

5. Intercession

Intercession is praying on behalf of others. Believers are called to intercede for one another, for the Church, and for the world.

6. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving — expressing gratitude to God — is a vital part of prayer. We give thanks for God's goodness, mercy, and faithfulness.

7. Worship

Worship is acknowledging God's worth, glory, and majesty. Prayer should include worship and adoration of God.

8. Repentance

Repentance — confessing and turning from sin — is essential to a healthy prayer life and relationship with God.

9. Prayer Requests

Members may submit prayer requests, which are handled with care and confidentiality. Leaders pray faithfully over all requests.

10. Prayer Warriors

Prayer warriors are believers specially committed to intercessory prayer. They stand in the gap for the ministry and its members.

11. Fasting

Fasting is voluntarily abstaining from food or certain activities for spiritual purposes. It is combined with prayer to seek God more deeply.

12. Fasting Safety

Members should fast wisely and safely. Those with medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional before fasting. Fasting should not harm the body.

13. Prayer Meetings

RFM holds regular prayer meetings — including morning, midday, and evening prayer — as well as special prayer gatherings.

14. Morning Prayer

Morning prayer sets the tone for the day, committing it to God and seeking His guidance.

15. Midday Prayer

Midday prayer provides a moment to reconnect with God amid daily activities.

16. Evening Prayer

Evening prayer closes the day with thanksgiving, reflection, and rest in God.

17. Prayer for Families

We pray for families — for unity, love, protection, and God's blessing on every home.

18. Prayer for the Church

We pray for the Church — for unity, purity, power, and faithfulness to Christ.

19. Prayer for the Nation

We pray for our nation — for leaders, justice, peace, and righteousness.

20. Prayer for Salvation

We pray for the salvation of souls — that many would come to know Jesus Christ.

21. Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare is the believer's stand against spiritual forces of evil through prayer, faith, and the Word of God. We stand in Christ's victory.

22. Discernment

Discernment is needed to recognize God's voice, distinguish truth from error, and pray according to God's will.

23. Prophetic/Spiritual Impressions

Spiritual impressions or prophetic words should be tested against Scripture and shared with humility. They must never contradict God's Word.

24. Confidentiality

All prayer requests and personal matters shared in prayer ministry are strictly confidential.

25. Pastoral Boundaries

Prayer ministers must maintain appropriate pastoral boundaries, avoiding any form of manipulation, control, or inappropriate relationship.

26. Handling Serious Personal Problems

For serious personal problems — including mental health, abuse, addiction, and legal issues — prayer ministers should offer prayer and support, and refer to qualified professionals where appropriate.

27. Referral to Qualified Professionals

Do not encourage members to stop necessary medical, legal, or professional help because someone prayed for them. Prayer and professional help work together. Always refer to qualified professionals for specialized needs.

28. Testimonies

Testimonies of God's answers to prayer encourage faith and glorify God. They should be shared with integrity and permission.

29. Prayer Follow-Up

Follow-up with those who have submitted prayer requests shows care and allows the ministry to rejoice in God's answers.

30. Prayer Ministry Ethics

Prayer ministry must be conducted with integrity, humility, and love. Do not promise members guaranteed miracles in exchange for prayer, fasting, or financial giving. God answers prayer according to His will.
